Article Processing Charge (APC)

Advances in Psychiatry and Neurology / Postępy Psychiatrii i Neurologii is an open access journal freely available to all readers. To publish in Advances in Psychiatry and Neurology / Postępy Psychiatrii i Neurologii, the author or authors of the submitted and accepted articles are obliged to pay an article processing charge (APC).
The APC only applies if the article is accepted for publication after peer-review and possible revision of the manuscript. There are no other charges.

The APCs for all accepted for publication articles are as follows:

Standard track:
Poland: 640 PLN, 23% VAT included
Rest of the world: 150 EUR

Accepted articles will not be published until payment has been received. Refunds are not possible once article has been published.
On-line payment can be made after logging to the Editorial System.
An invoice will be issued after the payment has been credited to our account. Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology does not pay bank transfer costs.
Online payments are the preferred way of payment. However, if this is impossible, payments can be made directly to the following bank accounts:

Regulations of paying article processing charge (APC)
1. These regulations define the rules of payment of the Article Processing Charges (APC) for the manuscripts accepted for publication in journal published by Termedia sp. z o.o. and Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology.
2. The service Organizer is Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw.
3. Before making payment through the on-line portal, the user accepts these Regulations and simultaneously agrees that the Organizer can process the users personal data for the purposes related to publication process and issuing the invoice. The author’s personal data will be kept confidential and not be used for other purposes.
4. On-line payment can be made by the user having account in the Editorial System accessible from the website of journal.
5. After completing payment, the user receives an email confirmation of the transaction to the address indicated in the account.
6. Accepted articles will not be published until payment has been received. Refunds of Article Processing Charges (APC) are not possible after article acceptation for publication.
7. The Organizer bears no responsibility if the user supplies false or misleading information, if the user cannot access the on-line payment portal as a result of using wrong browser, incorrect configuration of software or hardware.
8. The Organizer reserves the right to withdraw an accepted article if it turns out before or after publication that:
- it infringes the copyrights of other entities;
- claims from other entities have been reported regarding irregularities in the preparation of the article;
- the authors' statements were made inconsistent with the facts.
If an article is withdrawn for the reasons above, Article Processing Charges (APC) will not be refunded.
9. The Organizer reserves the right to change these Regulations. The Organizer will inform about the change in the Regulations on the website of Advances in Psychiatry and Neurology / Postępy Psychiatrii i Neurologii. In this case, changes in the Regulations come into force on the day of their publication on the website and do not have retroactive effect. The Organizer bears no responsibility if the user supplies false or misleading information, if the user cannot access the on-line payment portal as a result of using wrong browser, incorrect configuration of software or hardware.
The Organizer reserves the right to change these Regulations. The Organizer will inform about the change in the Regulations on the website of Advances in Psychiatry and Neurology/Postępy Psychiatrii i Neurologii. In this case, changes in the Regulations come into force on the day of their publication on the website and do not have retroactive effect.
